Built by Professionals
Forget close ties - at the Developers Institute, we are industry. Our teachers are professional software developers, product managers and studio leaders with years of experience in the industry.
This is how we can ensure that our programmes encompass all the relevant skills you'll need to enter the workforce. You'll graduate ready to hit the ground running, and stay adaptable in an ever-changing industry.
The Developers Pathway
Our unique education model means the learning doesn’t stop with the final class. We will support you right through to your first day at your new job, providing guidance and facilitating those big first steps into your new career. Our apprenticeship style model is a first in New Zealand.
We support students with interview preparation by covering the fundamentals, conducting practice interviews, preparing for technical tests and developing teamwork proficiency. The practical coursework woven throughout our programmes will help you build that all-important portfolio, ready to share with prospective employers right out of school.
We work with business partners such as Parasol, Northpower and the Donovan Group, to name just a few. And this is only the beginning - our team is dedicated to building long term relationships with businesses both locally and nationally to place top graduates into jobs upon successful program completion.
If you seek quality, industry-driven education that results in real employment outcomes, Developers Institute might just be your new home.
Supported by the Provincial Growth Fund
The Developers Institute is invested in growing and developing Northland's digital capability. Education is a critical component, but it is not enough in isolation. Working closely with local businesses and government agencies, our Graduate Employment Strategy follows all students through their educational experience and into gainful employment.
To advance this strategy, the Provincial Growth Fund has provided an investment of $670,000 which will enable over 80 graduates to be placed into jobs in the next few years.
We are working with businesses such as Parasol, Northpower, and the Donovan Group, on curriculum and employment pathways. And this is only the beginning - our team is dedicated to building long term relationships with businesses both locally and nationally to place top graduates into jobs upon successful program completion.
